The Flywheelers Swap Meet in Ft. Meade/Avon Park, FL, was unique to say the least. We had no idea that antique tractors and all things farm like commanded so much attention. The event drew Amish folk from Indiana and Pennsylvania, as well as others from all over. Thousands of people were camped in all kinds of contraptions for as far as the eye could see. Our Conecuh sausage was a huge hit, and we ran out of fried potatoes and onions very early. Thursday dawned warm and bright. The brisk business on Wednesday came to a halt on Thursday. Friday was not much better. Friday was the slowest day yet, after many promises from other vendors about how popular this event was in the past. Much better day on Saturday.
